Astrophytum Super Asterias
Astrophytum (Star Cactus) is a flowering cactus that produces yellow flowers and is native to Mexico and Texas. They have flat, dark green stems like a sea urchin with no spines and produce green oval fruits as they mature. Star cactus is a popular houseplant for a plant lover.
You can plant them indoors and outdoors. When planting indoors, place them on a windowsill where they can get enough sunlight to thrive. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and a well-drained soil mix.
You can plant them in a rock garden in addition to your beautiful landscape. Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. Fertilizing them during their growing season using a diluted houseplant fertilizer will help them grow healthy.
