These milkweed do loose leaves when establishing new roots at a new home. People panic when the leaves fall off, but as long as your stem is green the plant will come roaring back. We have even cut pieces and left them on they ground and they grow. We do not ship plastic pots which are harmful to our planet and pollute our roads, waterways, yards and parks. Your plant arrives in a biodegradable florist wrap. Your planting area soil must be at least 65-70 degrees in the full sun for the plant to take. It will require well draining soil and high humidity. Daily misting, water 3-4 x per 7 days and fertilize every 3 months.
