Medium Opuntia Parryi V. Serpentina Cristata.

Medium Opuntia Parryi v.  Serpentina Cristata is a very different and hard to find Opuntia. It is a vigorously growing crest of a smaller Opuntia. This unique plant is native to Baja California. It forms low growing clusters of a deep green. The fan like edges of this gorgeous Opuntia are marked with tan. The entire plant is also marked with tan speckles. The Parryi is somewhat cold tolerant to 32 degrees, but it is best to provide frost protection to prevent possible scarring. It will not tolerate extended freezing temperatures. Due to the rarity of this plant it is a must have for the serious collector.

 

Plant in a porous, well draining cactus/succulent soil. Provide plenty of sunlight. Water when soil is dry to the touch.
