The Portulacaria Afra Medio-Picta is native to South Africa. This succulent is also known as the Mid Stripe Rainbow Bush and is very difficult to find. This is a very slow growing succulent shrub with beautiful,, bright reddish pink stems holding small 1/2 inch long oval green leaves that have wide white stripes down their middle. Some leaves have little or no green. Grows to a height of 1-2 feet and a width of 1-2 feet. It produces lavender blooms, but blooming is infrequent. Plant in partial sun to light shade and water sparingly.  Succulent plants are among the hardiest, most drought-tolerant in the world and very easy to maintain, as long as they are planted in a porous cactus/succulent soil.
