Blue Agave Plant (Agave tequilana azul) is a popular dessert succulent that forms a large rosette. It has blue-gray, thick, spiky fleshy leaves and produces yellow flowers as they mature. It is native to Mexico and thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-drained sandy soil.
It is easy to grow, drought tolerant, and easy to care for once established. Blue Agave is perfect for landscape gardens for its dramatic foliage and can grow up to 6 ft tall. Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot.
The only way to propagate them is via seeds and pups. You can grow them in USDA Zones 9-11.
