Hard to find outdoor Orchid mounting kit on a 16X7X1/2 inch hardy Western Red Cedar board. We live in Florida and have 300 Orchids hanging from our tree and outdoor Pergola and we know how hard it is to find an outdoor Orchid mount on Cedar board so we decided to make our own! This kit includes a even harder to find Cedar board that is 1/2 inch thick for very long outdoor life. It also includes an attached sturdy 5 inch Orchid mesh pot, metal hanger, and a custom Orchid mix of organic Orchid bark, charcoal, premium moss and organic Perlite. This amazing mounting kit works great for Brassavola, Cattleya, Vanda, Dendrobium and Phalaenopsis Orchids.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR MOUNTING:

To install your Orchid in the mesh pot first soak the cleaned and prepared roots in water for at least 15 minutes. Position the roots in the mesh pot and surrond all sides with the included custom Orchid mix. Next, use some string or fish line to gently hold the top of the Orchid using the two predrilled holes on the upper part of the Cedar board. Right after mounting the Orchid, place it in a spot that gets bright, indirect light. At that point let the Orchid adapt to its new setting by monitoring the root growth and depending on the type of Orchid move it to an area that gets more light.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON WATERING AND FERTILIZING:
Most mounted Orchids will need to be watered at least 3 to 5 times a week. It is best to dunk the mounted Orchid in a large bucket for at least 20 minutes. and let them dry between watering cycles. Depending on your Orchids growing cycle, a balanced 20-20-20 fertilizer that has little or no Urea should be used.
