Tradescantia chrysophylla (Baby Bunny Bellies Tradescantia )is rare and beautiful houseplant that is perfect for climbing or trailing plants that can display their gorgeous foliage for spectacular visuals. It has velvety green foliage with purple undersides like a belly of a baby bunny. It thrives in bright and indirect light and well-draining soil.

Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight as they can burn their leaves. You can plant them in a pot and place them on bookshelves where they cascade down their beautiful foliage to add modern interior decor to your space. It is easy to grow, easy to care for and low maintenance once established.

Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using a balanced, liquid fertilizer will help them produce more leaves and grow healthy. The best way to propagate them is via stem cuttings and division.

Watch out for mealybugs, spider mites, and aphids. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil to kill them.

The leaves will brown and burn in direct sunlight and you will not keep the amazing rare bluish color. It needs regular feedings every three months. Trim the plant back once it reaches 8-10″inches so that it grows shoots at the base to thicken the growth pattern and create a globe.
