You will receive a 6-7″ plant. Stenocereus gummosus is a shrubby cactus from Baja with wide flat needles. It can reach about 9ft. in length. I have a licensed Florida nursery and can sell to the lower 48 except California.
Caring for Stenocereus gummosus, the Organ Pipe Cactus, is relatively simple. Plant it in well-draining soil and provide plenty of sunlight, ideally in a sunny location. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings, particularly in the winter months.
Fertilize with a diluted cactus fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer), typically every 6-8 weeks. Pruning is seldom necessary, but remove any dead or damaged growth if required.
Protect the cactus from frost and cold temperatures, as it’s not cold-hardy. With proper care, it will thrive and flourish in your arid landscape.
