This succulent plant, Euphorbia Obessa Hybrid also known as the Basketball or Baseball plant, is a very unique looking plant. This listing is for a single Obessa per pot. It is dioecious, which means that an individual plant has only male or female flowers. It is a subtropical plant native to South Africa, especially in the Cape Province. It is considered endangered in the wild due to over harvesting and poaching. It is a very slow growing plant and each pod contains only two or three seeds. It is thornless and quite decorative. Young plants are approximately 6cm, but can reach 15cm at maturity. When young, the plants are spherical, becoming more cylindrical as they reach maturity. They contain a water reservoir for periods of drought. The coloring ranges from green to shades of brown and purple with horizontal lighter or darker stripes. Succulent plants are among the hardiest, most drought-tolerant in the world and very easy to maintain, as long as they are planted in a porous cactus/succulent soil, given proper drainage, daily bright light, and not over watered.
