The name Monstera deliciosa translates to delicious monster. The swiss cheese plant, also known as split leaf philodendron, is a species of flowering plant native to tropical forests of southern Mexico.

Monstera Deliciosa is a climbing plant and is native to the rainforest of Central America. This famous plant has a glossy green leaf, heart-shaped, and split/ hole leaves. When they get mature, they can produce fruits.
Although they are toxic to humans and pets, you can still eat the fruit when they get ripe because it is edible. Growing them is easy and doesn’t need much care once they are fully grown. Providing them with a moss pole to climb will help them grow beautiful and healthy.
Monstera Deliciosa can appreciate bright and indirect sunlight and well-drained soil. Allow the water to dry before watering them to avoid rot. Fertilizing them using a liquid fertilizer during their growing season will help them grow.
You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 10-12. You can propagate them via stem cuttings and layering.
